Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco is gearing up to launch a new entry-level 5G smartphone in the country. Dubbed Poco M8, the smartphone will arrive in India on January 8, 2025, at 12 PM IST. Ahead of the device’s debut, the brand has confirmed a couple of key specifications.

Poco M8 5G: Design Details and Expected Specifications

The Poco M8 5G will be a Flipkart exclusive smartphone. However, there’s no reliable information or guidance on its pricing. For context, the Poco M7 (6GB + 128GB) is currently available in India for Rs. 9,299, while the Poco M7 Pro (6GB + 128GB) is available for Rs. 13,498.

Regarding the smartphone’s design, the Poco M8 will launch with a dual-tone rear panel and a vegan leather back finish. It will weigh 178 grams and have a side profile of 7.35mm. Finally, the smartphone could feature a squircle rear camera module.

Given that the phone is reportedly a rebadged version of the Redmi Note 15 5G, it could feature a 6.77-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, run on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, include a 108MP primary camera, and include a 5,520 mAh battery.
