Poco, an independent subsidiary of Xiaomi, has today announced the launch date of its next smartphone. No, it won’t be Poco F2 Pro but the Poco M2 Pro which will touch down Indian shores on July 7 at 12 noon.
The Poco M2 Pro India launch announcement was shared by the brand on its social media pages and also via Flipkart’s dedicated product page. The teaser posted on social media suggests that the upcoming Poco phone will flaunt a square-shaped quad-camera array at the back.

The Poco M2 Pro has been a darling to rumor mills in the recent weeks. Some leaks even suggested that the Poco M2 Pro will be a rebranded version of Redmi Note 9. While we can’t really confirm these claims at this moment, the design of the phone in the teaser seems to align with the claims.
In terms of specs, not much is known about the Poco M2 Pro. There has been some speculation about the presence of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 720G chipset at the heart of Poco M2 Pro. If that’s the case, it will have the same chipset as the Redmi Note 9 Pro.

Alongside the Poco M2 Pro, the company is likely to announce its first TWS earphones – the Poco Pop Buds on July 7.
