The new-gen Playstation will ship with 8-core AMD’s Ryzen CPU aided by Navi series GPU. The internals will also host faster SSD storage coupled with 100gigs optical disk that will function as a 4K Bluray player as well. The company claims faster boot times. Besides the latency, this might benefit space-wise too.

Speaking of storage, interestingly, the PS5 might let you partially install a game’s different modes. So, if you never play multi-player, simply skip its installation, or delete it, keeping the rest of the game intact and ready to play.

Hey, if you dig multiplayer gameplay, then there’s good news for you too. PS5 will apparently feature a set of joinable activities, which you dive in real-time. Single players will be endowed with crucial information like playable missions, and the associated rewards.

This time around, Playstation might usher in a new controller. Yeah, DualShock 4 might get replaced. The new controller will reportedly sport adaptive triggers with better haptics. Then, there will be the new “gold standard” speaker with a 3D audio engine, integrated to the controller.

Other things expected to fit the bill are USB-C socket on the connector for charging (and you could play using the cable as well), Remote Play, 8K TV support, built-in camera, improved cloud gaming support, and even a 3D holographic gaming screen which could be enjoyed without glasses.

Folks behind PS5 bets on an immersive and seamless experience. Claims faster boot times, longer battery life as well. To make things more exciting, you might witness the Pro variant at $100 to $150 higher price tag. The PS5 and probable Pro edition will arrive in Holiday 2020.
