Oppo’s foldable phone fresh leaks are here; Display and camera details out

Oppo’s first foldable phone has yet again made headlines revealing display and camera details of the phone. The rumour mills have surfaced a number of leaks online reveling several details. The phone is reportedly to unveil sometime in December 2021.

Oppo Foldable Phone Details

The latest report comes from a notable tipster Digital Chat Station who reveals the Oppo foldable phone to cones with an inward folding design. When unfolded, it will better look like a tablet following the design of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 (review) and Huawei Mate X2. The phone is said to boast a slightly curved pattern at the edges.

As per the report, the inner panel will feature a left-cornered punch-hole display supporting 120Hz of refresh rate while the cover panel will have a centred punch-hole exhibiting 60Hz of refresh rate. The primary display is expected to come with 7.8-inch to 8-inch LTPO panel.

The leakster also has to say more about the rear camera system of the Oppo foldable phone. The source states the phone to arrive with a triplet sensor similar to the Oppo Reno 6 (review) lineup. It may comprise a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera, a 16MP IMX481 secondary sensor, and a 13MP Samsung ISOCELL S5K3M5 tertiary lens. Upfront, it was disclosed to bear a 32MP selfie camera. 

Previously, the phone is reported to drive on Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC running on ColorOS based Android 11. It could pack a 4500mAh battery with 65W fast charge support. The phone is believed to be underworked with the codename ‘Peacock’ and could offer a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
