Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G India Launch Teased; 32MP Sony IMX709 Selfies Camera Revealed

Oppo recently teased the launch of a new smartphone series in India. The short clip shared on the company’s official Twitter page tells a “Portrait Expert is Coming” with “The Most Advanced Reno Camera System Ever”. By this time last year, we had seen the Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G (review) in the country. And later that same year, Reno 6 lineup also launched. So, now we are expecting the Reno 7 series to release in India before long.

The teaser also reads, “We set out to engineer the best and this time it is even better than you could imagine. Can you guess what are we bringing for you? #ThePortraitExpert is coming soon. Stay tuned!”

This is not only the clue we have about this impending arrival of the Reno 7 series as the company has floated a page on Flipkart disclosing some of its highlight features. Also, recently another report claimed the Reno 7 and Reno 7 Pro could materialize in India by February. It had also professed the vanilla Reno 7 will be priced between ₹28000 and ₹31000 and the Reno 7 Pro will come in between the ₹41000 and ₹43000 price range.

Oppo Reno 7 series specs

Oppo Reno 7 Pro rocks a 6.55-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The front camera is a 32MP IMX709 sensor. Flip to the back and there is a triple camera setup including a 50MP Sony IMX766 shooter, an 8MP ultrawide snapper, and a 2MP macro module. Internally, it houses a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 Max chipset, up to 12GB RAM, 256GB storage, and a 4500mAh battery supporting a 65W charger.

The standard Oppo Reno 7, meanwhile sports a 6.43-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, and a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The selfie camera consists of a 32MP IMX709 sensor. By the back, it has got a 64MP OV64B primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro sensor.
