OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G is the next major offering that the Chinese technology major has lined up for India. As confirmed by the official virtual launch invite, the handset will debut on January 18 starting at 12:30 PM. The event will be live-streamed on OPPO’s official YouTube and social accounts.
Flipkart’s teaser page is already up confirming availability on the platform. Interestingly, the page also reveals some of the key Reno5 Pro 5G features. The biggest highlight of Reno Pro 5 seems to be a new Full Dimension Fusion (FDF) Portrait Video System technology and 5G connectivity.
MediaTek’s Dimensity 1000+ chipset is another major highlight of the phone as is revealed on the teaser page. It is worth pointing out that Realme X7 Pro is another phone which is set to debut in India soon and is likely to boast of the Dimensity 1000+ chipset.

What is Full Dimension Fusion (FDF) Portrait Video System?
According to Oppo, “It’s a revolutionary FDF technology comes with a powerful integration of hardware, flexible software, and smart algorithms, which significantly enhances the video quality and portrait effects. Built on the Quality Enhancement Engine and the Portrait Perception Engine, the FDF System integrates powerful hardware with intelligent algorithms and processing technology. The Quality Enhancement Engine helps the users to take clear, high-quality videos in any light condition or moving scenario. On the other hand, Portrait Perception Engine accurately defines portrait subjects and the background clearly, making it more natural”.
OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G specifications
OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G is rumored to include a 6.55-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The display is said to have a punch-hole cutout to hoist a selfie camera. Like we mentioned before, it will be driven by Dimensity 1000+ making it the first phone with MediaTek flagship 5G chipset in the country.
The Reno5 Pro 5G is likely to be offered with 12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. OPPO Reno5 Pro other highlights include a 4,350mAh battery and 65W fast charging support.

Optics wise, the OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G global version comes with a quad-camera system. It has a 64MP primary sensor coupled with an 8MP wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP mono camera. For selfies, there’s a 32MP front-facing camera. OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G price in China is anything to go buy expect it to be priced under Rs 40,000 in India.
