Due to lower-than-expected sales, Oppo was forced to skip releasing their foldable smartphones this year, while other Chinese brands focused heavily on book-style foldable devices. Now, it seems their next book-style foldable is coming soon, at least according to a now-deleted post by prolific Chinese leakster Digital Chat Station.

Dubbed the Oppo Find N5, the phone is expected to be released in the first half of 2025. According to DCS, the Find N5 will be powered by the SM8750 chipset, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, making it the world’s first foldable phone with the flagship chipset. Furthermore, it will have a “2K” resolution folding screen, a 50MP main camera using a Sony sensor, a periscope telephoto camera, and a circular camera island on the back.
Notably, the Find N5 will be exceptionally thin and lightweight, with an estimated body thickness of around 9mm in line with foldables like the Vivo X Fold3 Pro, and Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold. It will also include a three-stage alert slider button and is expected to feature enhanced structural reinforcement and waterproofing.

While battery information remains unknown, it’s safe to assume we’ll see a 5,000mAh cell with Oppo’s latest high-density battery technology. Just like the Find N3, the Find N5 is also expected to be exclusive to China and may reach global markets as the OnePlus Open 2.
