Oppo has officially introduced its next-generation foldable device to the global market, including China. The Oppo Find N5 has been unveiled as the thinnest foldable smartphone in the world to date. This device features a sleek and lightweight design, equipped with high-end specifications such as the Snapdragon 8 elite chipset and 50W wireless charging, among others.

Initially, there were speculations that the Oppo Find N5 would be released in India as the OnePlus Open 2; however, with OnePlus confirming that it will not launch a foldable this year, Oppo may proceed with the introduction of the Find N5 in India to address this market gap. It is worth noting that Oppo previously launched the Find N3 in India a few years back.

The Oppo Find N5 is priced at 1867 USD aka Rs. 1,61,770 approx. globally. It will be available from 28th February and comes in Misty White and Cosmic Black colors.

Oppo Find N5 Foldable is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset paired with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage on board. The foldable sports an 8.12-inch foldable 2K OLED display with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate with 2100 nits brightness, and ultra-thin glass. Externally there is a 6.62-inch FHD+ OLED display with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, 2450 nits brightness, and ceramic guard. Both displays support 2160Hz PWM dimming.

Now talking about the design which is the highlight of Oppo Find N5 as it is claimed to be the world’s thinnest foldable yet. When unfolded it is 4.21mm thick and when folded it is 8.93mm thick. The glass version weighs 229 grams and the leather version weighs 239 grams. There is an alert slider too. Find N5 has a titanium flexion hinge with aerospace grade 5 titanium alloy 3D printing technology. The sleekest part of the hinge is 0.15mm which is equal to the diameter of a hair. The hinge is TUV Rheinland Reliable Folding certified and has been tested 100,000 times.

Oppo Find N5 runs Android 15 with ColorOS 15 and Oppo promises 5 years of security updates for the foldable. AI features include AI Call summary, and AI Search while O+ connect for Mac lets you view images on the phone from Mac and also access files on the phone remotely from anywhere.

In terms of camera optics, there is a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 50MP periscope sensor at the back. At the front is an 8MP sensor that can record up to 4k. Foldable is IPX6/IPX8/IPX9 rated and connectivity options include 5G, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type-C, NFC, Beidou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and more. Under the hood, Oppo Find N5 packs a 5600mAh battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging speeds.
