Oppo F29 Series: India Launch Details

The Oppo F29 Series is set to be released on March 20th. These smartphones will be available for purchase through the Oppo India website and Flipkart, as well as through offline retailers such as Reliance, Vijay Sales, and Croma. The company has branded the F29 series with the tagline ‘The Durable Champion.’

Oppo F29 Series: Design

The official microsite for the Oppo F29 and the Oppo F29 Pro has been launched, showcasing the official renders of the devices and unveiling their design. The Oppo F29 is designed with a squarish-circle module on the back, which accommodates a dual-camera system and an LED flash. In contrast, the Oppo F29 Pro features a circular module with two camera sensors and an LED flash.

Both devices are equipped with a volume rocker and a power button located on the right side, along with a centrally positioned punch-hole cutout for the front-facing camera. The display is flat and features slim bezels. At the bottom edge, the smartphones include a USB Type-C port, a SIM tray, a speaker grille, and a microphone, while the top edge houses a secondary microphone.

The company asserts that the F29 Series is designed to endure the harsh climatic conditions prevalent in India. These devices feature a 360-degree armored body, and the sponge bionic cushioning is engineered to absorb impacts during falls, thereby reducing potential damage. Additionally, the elevated battery cover and side frame are reported to provide an extra layer of protection. The Oppo F29 and F29 Pro have undergone testing by SGS in India, achieving IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings.

Furthermore, the internal frame that safeguards the motherboard has been enhanced with aerospace-grade aluminum alloy, resulting in a 10% increase in structural integrity compared to the F27 model. The Oppo F29 Pro will be available in Marble White and Granite Black, while the standard Oppo F29 will be offered in Solid Purple and Glacier Blue.

Oppo F29 Series: Expected Price

Oppo F29 Series

Oppo has not disclosed any pricing information yet; however, reports suggest that the Oppo F29 Pro will be priced below Rs. 25,000. The company did not release the F27 Pro, and since the F25 Pro was priced at Rs. 23,999, it seems plausible that the F29 Pro will be similarly priced. The Oppo F27 was introduced at Rs. 22,999, indicating that the F29 is likely to fall within a comparable range.
