Oppo F29 Series 5G Goes Official in India with MIL-STD Certification: Pre-Order Live Now

Tech powerhouse Oppo has introduced its latest F-Lineup, the Oppo F29 Series 5G, in India. This new series comprises two models: the Oppo F29 5G and the Oppo F29 Pro 5G. These smartphones follow the Oppo F27 5G and Oppo F27 Pro Plus, which were released in 2024. This time, the brand has branded the Oppo F29 Series as a ‘durable champion,’ emphasizing its robust construction as a key feature. Both devices are MIL-STD certified, ensuring they can endure tough conditions, while also showcasing a stylish design.

Oppo F29 Series 5G: Price & Availability

The Oppo F29 5G will be available in three storage variants-

  • 8GB RAM+128GB storage-Rs. 23,999
  • 8GB RAM+256GB storage-Rs. 25,999
  • 12GB RAM+256GB storage- Not announced yet

It comes in Solid Purple and Glacier Blue hues.

Oppo F29 Pro will come in three storage configurations too-

  • 8GB RAM+128GB storage-Rs. 27,999
  • 8GB RAM+256GB storage-Rs. 29,999
  • 12GB RAM+256GB storage-Rs. 31,999

The Oppo F29 Pro comes in Marble White and Granite black shades.

Both smartphones are up for pre-order now via Oppo India website, Flipkart, Amazon, and offline stores. Oppo F29 Pro will be available from 1st April while Oppo F29 will be available from 27th March.

Oppo is offering up to 10% instant cashback on SBI, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Bank of Baroda, and IDFC First Bank cards. No-cost EMI for up to 6 months and consumer loans for up to 8 months with zero down payment are also available. Up to a 10% exchange bonus can also be applied.

Oppo F29 Pro 5G: Features

Oppo F29 Pro 5G is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy chipset with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage onboard. It flaunts a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate, 1200 nits brightness and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. In terms of the camera, it gets a 50MP OV50D40 primary sensor at the back with OIS. It is paired with a 2MP depth camera. At the front is a 16MP IMX480 sensor for selfies and video calls.

Under the hood, it draws juice from a 6000mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC charging. The smartphone runs ColorOS 15 based on Android 15 and Oppo has promised two OS updates and three security updates. Additional features include IP66+IP68+IP69 rating, MIL-STD certification, Outdoor mode, Glove Mode, Splash Touch, and more for durability. For gaming there is game-exclusive WiFi antenna and more.

Oppo F29 5G: Features

Oppo F29 5G sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 1200 nits brightness, and Gorilla Glass 7i protection. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage onboard. In terms of the camera, there is a 50MP Samsung S5KJNS primary sensor at the back along with a 2MP depth sensor. At the front is a 16MP Sony IMX480 sensor for selfies.

Under the hood, it packs a massive 6500mAh battery with 45W wired SuperVOOC charging. It runs ColorOS 15 based on Android 15 and Oppo promises two years of OS updates and 3 years of security updates. AI features include AI Unblur, AI Eraser 2.0, AI Livephoto and more. For durability, it is IP66+IP68+IP69 rated and gets MIL-STD certification. Additional features include USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.1, low energy BLE, and reverse charging.

Both smartphones have a refreshed design with a flat panel and a squircle-like camera module.
