Oppo A3 With 19:9 Display, 16-Megapixel Camera Announced: Price, Specifications

Oppo electronic has announced its Oppo A3 smartphone today back home in China. It’s not so surprising as the phone has been in the news for a while now and almost entire specs-sheet was already out. The Oppo A3 spec-sheet is almost the same as Oppo F7.

Oppo A3 Features

Just like the Oppo F7, the Oppo A3 boasts of a 19:9 display of 6.2 inches in size. The screen supports full HD+ resolution and yes there is a notch too. Oppo once again relies on 12nm MediaTek Helio P60 (aka MediaTek MT6771) chipset along with ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU to take care of core performance and graphics. 

The chipset mated to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 256GB. This dual-SIM smartphone supports 4G networks on both sims along with dual VoLTE. The phone is based on Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.0.

The only noticeable difference between the Oppo F7 and Oppo A3 that the latter once packs an 8MP selfie camera, whereas the F7 flaunts a 25MP selfie shooter. The 16-megapixel rear camera remains the same for both phones. The company continues to feature a 3.5mm headphone jack in its smartphones. Aslo unlike the Oppo F7, it only comes with face unlock option.

The Oppo A3 is 7.8mm thick and weigh about 159grams. The phone draws power from a 3400mAh battery.  As for connectivity, apart from 4GB networks it also supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. The smartphone comes in Black, Silver, Red and Rose Gold colour options.

Oppo A3 Price and Availability

The Oppo A3 Price starts at 2099 Yuan (which is approx. Rs 21,700 in Indian currency) for the base 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage variant. However, the device will be available at 1999 Yuan for a limited period. Oppo hasn’t really announced its India launch date.
