Oppo sets a new benchmark with the 125W flash charging tech. It can top-up a 4000mAh battery up to 41% in 5 mins and 100% in 20 mins. This makes it the fastest charging solution in the market. And it’s not just the speed. The brand also adheres to safety standards with proper temperature control measures.

Here’s more on the underlying technical stuff —

OPPO 125W Flash Charge Details

OPPO employs the proprietary SuperVOOC system, whereby, the charge (20V/6.25A) from the adapter is stored in a bi-cell configuration battery within the phone. However, only charge (10V/12.5A) from a single cell is delivered for the phone’s needs. The design also limits the voltage by half whilst discharging.

The tech works in conjunction with OPPO’s own adapter, USB-C cable, and custom chips within the phone. The recipe thus involves a bunch of chips, 128-bit encryption algorithms, protocols, and 10 new temperature sensors working at every touchpoint.

The charger dimensions are 64mm x 61.5mm x 30mm and weigh about 153.8g.

Along with the speed it extols, the 125W SuperVOOC also warrants efficiency. Thanks to Multistep charging, it brings about a 98% efficiency. Likewise, temperature control is another area of note.

Last but not least, 125W SuperVOOC is also compatible with other charging protocols such as PPS, PD, and QC. So, you could fast charge devices of other brands and platforms with it.
