OnePlus has officially teased the second-generation Watch that will be showcased during the upcoming Mobile World Congress Show 2024. The Chinese smartphone maker has shared a teaser for the OnePlus Watch 2 across social media platforms that confirms the launch of the wearable soon.
OnePlus writes, “We have a new product coming soon, a new Face in the OnePlus Flagship Family.” The tagline for the watch is “It’s time to do it right!” which hints towards the smartwatch launching with Google WearOS 4 this time.
Reports claim OnePlus Watch 2 will be showcased on February 26 at MWC 2024 in Barcelona, however, the official launch date will be announced later.
OnePlus Watch 2: Expected Features
OnePlus Watch 2 will reportedly get a circular display with rotating bezels as per the teaser. OnePlus will use a metal casing and a comfortable strap for long-duration wearing. There will be two buttons on the right side- one a home button while the other being a rotating crown.
A OnePlus Club member claims that the second-generation watch has a 1.43-inch AMOLED display and is expected to be powered by Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 chipset with 1GB RAM and 4GB storage. It is said to run WearOS 4 and comes in two colors for straps- black and white.
OnePlus is also expected to launch some limited-edition models after showcasing Watch 2 during MWC.
OnePlus launched its first smartwatch in 2021 which was an affordable wearable in comparison to its competitors. After that, the brand also launched a Nord Watch and a fitness band later on.
With the OnePlus Watch 2, the brand is expected to resolve all the previous issues that were experienced with the first-generation watch.
