OnePlus is known to share specs and design elements with phones from its sister concerns. And if talk around the town is true, the brand’s upcoming Nord 2 wouldn’t be any different. This time around, it is said to be mostly identical to the yet-to-release Realme X9 Pro.
Realme, just like OnePlus is a BBK progeny and is set to release its X9 Pro smartphone. Now, earlier rumors suggested the phone could feature the Dimensity 1200 SoC similar to OnePlus Nord 2. But then, a recent leak on Weibo by a fellow named Arsenal revealed the phone will pack a Snapdragon 870 chip instead.
So this new bit of info was in contradiction to the older scoop, and hence created a bit of confusion. But recently, this leaker Arsenal has come forward with some clarification.
He says there are two variants of Realme X9 Pro, one with Dimensity 1200 (for the home market) and the other with Snapdragon 870 (for overseas). What’s interesting however is his claim that the Realme X9 Pro with Dimensity 1200 processor will be sold outside China starting next month renamed as OnePlus Nord 2.

Besides the processor, there are several other specs similarities between the two phones.
Most of the camera setup remains comparable. There will be a 32MP selfie clicker on both and as for the rear, a triplet comprising a 50MP Sony IMX766 main, a 2MP B&W, and an ultrawide shooter. Now, this superwide snapper is known to be a 16MP sensor on Realme X9 Pro and an 8MP sensor on Nord 2. The position of the LED flash is also said to be different on both phones.

Other suspected commonalities between the two are a 4500mAh battery, support for 65W fast charging, a 90Hz AMOLED panel with a left-cornered punch hole, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Now, all of these, if true, are a decent set of specs. And most buyers could care less if it is a rebranded phone. So, in any case, you should have a fair idea of what to expect out of the OnePlus Nord 2. As for price, noted tipster Digital Chat Station speculates a CNY 2,000 price tag (~₹22,300). This is similar to what the original Nord was priced. And so, the Indian starting price of Nord 2 could be set close to ₹27,000.
