Alongside the OnePlus 8T launch, the brand also announced few accessories. They are the OnePlus Buds Z TWS, OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z Bass edition, and the OnePlus Power Bank. Now, the real attraction of the lot has to be the truly wireless buds. It is a watered-down version of the original Buds Z and let’s see what it offers for a lower price tag.
OnePlus Buds Z Highlights
First of all, the design is now an in-ear form with silicone tips. This should offer a better fit and passive noise cancellation. Speaking of which, there is no active solution here. Rather, just an in-call noise reduction, thanks to the built-in dual-microphones.
The Buds Z pack 10mm dynamic drivers compared to the 13mm drivers inside the standard Buds. The audio output is extolled to be heavy on bass along with 3D stereo backed by both Dolby Atmos and Dirac Audio Tuner.
It connects over Bluetooth 5.0 and works with both Android and iOS.
Among other things, you also get an IP55 rating for water and dust resistance, Quick Switch function for a seamless transition between two devices using a double-tap command, wear detection, and Quick Pair. The case has a USB-C socket and LED indicator for battery level.
