The beginning of 2024 is going to be busy for OnePlus as it gears up for the launch of the OnePlus Ace3 in China and the OnePlus 12 globally. Things just got spicier as the tech juggernaut has confirmed launching the flagship OnePlus Buds Pro 3 next month as well.
OnePlus took it to Weibo (China’s social networking site) to tease the upcoming OnePlus Buds Pro 3, a successor to this year’s Buds Pro 2. There’s not much information about the upcoming buds although we know for sure that they are active noise cancellation (ANC) onboard.
Design-wise, we can spot certain dissimilarities when compared to the predecessor such as each bud appears to come with a longer stem and with a glossy finish running throughout the stem. Additionally, the Buds Pro 3 is likely to follow the same colorways as that of the OnePlus 12R although arriving next month.
For the unversed, the OnePlus 12R is a sub-flagship phone for the global markets. It is a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace3 all set to launch in China on January 4.
Leaker Evan Blass posted a marketing image showcasing the various contents of the retail box. The Buds Pro 3 will arrive with a matte-finished charging case, earbuds, three silicon-replaceable ear tips, and a dual-tone USB-C charging cable.
There’s also “flagship sound quality” inscribed on the retail box although it’s unclear which feature OnePlus is referring to. We have heard that the upcoming Buds Pro 3 will bring new sound drivers, a lighter build, and reduced battery capacity compared to the predecessor among others. Features such as transparency mode and spatial audio (apart from adaptive ANC) are highly likely to be retained. Finally, when it comes to the pricing, we are hoping the pricing remains at $179 as compared to the last-gen earbuds although we will have to wait till the official confirmation drops by.
