Update: DxoMark clarified that the screenshot is a fake. The original story follows.

A Weibo Blogger with more than 1 million followers has posted an alleged DxoMark screenshot on the Chinese social network that shows DxoMark camera score for several upcoming phones including OnePlus 6T, Google Pixel 3, Huawei Mate 20 Pro, and even the three new iPhones – iPhone Xs, Xs Max, and XR.

We haven’t been able to verify the veracity of the image, but for what it’s worth the tipster claims that image comes directly from DxoMark network and is aggressively defending his findings in the comments below.

Anyways, it makes for an interesting read.

Before we proceed, it must be mentioned that the image lists overall DxoMark score and the still photography scores for these phones could be different. For instance, the Pixel 2 which is widely accepted as the best smartphone camera of 2018 has a score of 99 for photos, 96 for videos and overall score of 98.

According to the image, Huawei Mate 20 Pro tops the list with an average score of 116. The Google Pixel 3 scores 103 (up from 98 for Google Pixel 2). The OnePlus 6T Dxomark score reads a promising 99 (up from 96 for OnePlus 6).

iPhone Xs and Xs Max score 104 (they have the same camera) and the iPhone XR that’s due to go on sale next month scores 100 points.

The Pixel 3 phones are scheduled to launch on October 9, and Google has a tradition of sharing Dxomark scores during launch keynote. So, hopefully, we will get a confirmation if these scores are correct very soon. The upcoming Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro will go official on October 16, and even Huawei likes highlighting DxoMark score for its flagships from the launch stage.

HAahahahaha “…For instance, the Pixel 2 which is widely accepted as the best smartphone camera of 2018…” Deepak, you don’t have any clue what you are talking about! Do us a favour and don’t write such “b+++++t”! Buy a Pixel 2 AND a P20 Pro and CHECK and TEST both against each other and COMPARE then SPEAK!

Will have to disagree with you. P20 pro images look oversharpened, comparatively unnatural and the colors are off, especially with AI turned on or in scenes with contrasting colors. And we are not even taking video recording into account here… Maybe we have different preferences.
