Nothing Phone (1) New

What if I told you that you can buy Nothing Phone (1) in the United States but there will be issues with the carriers, would you buy it? The Nothing Phone (1) is now available in the country at a price tag of $299. It disguises itself as a beta version and thus, users will face issues using the same signed-up on any telecom carrier in the country.

The Nothing Phone (1) Beta Membership gives users in the United States access to a world-class phone that AndroidPolice has tagged as ‘premium design meets midrange everything else’. The membership is available at $299 where you get the Phone (1) with an 8GB+128GB variant in a black colorway. It will run on Android 13-powered Nothing OS 1.5 which is likely launching in a few weeks though the beta version is already out.

Nothing Phone (1) in the United States – The Catch

Getting Nothing Phone (1) is a great sight to behold as the design is appealing. There are a fraction of phones that have a charismatic design as that of Phone (1) and that has won the hearts of millions. Nothing Phone (1) doesn’t have the latest specs though.

However, the moment it launched in the United States, Nothing was quick to make its debut disguised as a ‘beta version’ or ‘for testing purposes’ rather than confirming its official launch. Why is that though? Turns out the phone is unavailable to play along with not one but three major telecom carriers in the country. The list includes the likes of Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T where the phone will impose limitations in the country.

To explain it further, Nothing Phone (1) on T-Mobile will have the best performance as it supports both LTE and 5G bands but certainly not all. On the other hand, Verizon has limited 4G support while AT&G will have LTE but no 5G on the Phone (1).

Nothing Phone (1) in the US arrives with Nothing OS 1.5 built on Android 13. The software brings a lot to the table including but not limited to a photo picket, a new QR code scanner, a Material You-inspired design, a 50% increase in app loading speed, and a few others.
