Nokia 3 And 5 Set To Be Announced At MWC Alongside A Revamp Of The Classic 3310

0

HMD Global, the force behind resurrected Nokia, is reportedly all set to bring out a sum total of four smartphones at the MWC, due to take place later this month. Amongst the said phones is an all-new, revamped version of the erstwhile popular Nokia 3310 handset that the company last dished out when it was in its prime (read: a long time ago).

Joining the rehashed 3310 would be two budget phones, namely the Nokia 5 and Nokia 3, with relatively toned down specifications as compared to the recently released Nokia 6, considering the fact that they will hit another segment of the market altogether.

The Nokia 5 is deemed to feature a 5.2-inch screen with a 720p resolution alongside the same Snapdragon 430 processor that was used in the Nokia 6. Other than that, it will sport a rumored 12MP rear camera and a 2GB RAM and will be priced at €199 (around Rs. 14,145).

Nokia 3 would be an entry-level smartphone featuring a tad lower specifications than the rest and will come out at a price of €149 (around Rs. 10,500).

Completing the Nokia roster at the MWC would be the Nokia 6, which will be announced for the European market, thus ending its ‘China exclusive’ tag. In Europe, the phone would be priced at €249 (around Rs. 17,600).

That said, the apparent reincarnation of the classic 3310 is being considered to be the showstopper of the event and Nokia would surely be banking on it to win over at least the former users to use it as a second phone. That probably explains why it is going to be priced at a competitive €59 (around Rs. 4,190).
