As the tech world eagerly awaits the next evolution of Android, today marks a significant milestone with Google unveiling the first developer preview for Android 15. While this update may not boast a plethora of groundbreaking features, it introduces a functionality that is bound to pique the interest of many users. With anticipation mounting, Android enthusiasts are poised to explore the latest advancements and enhancements that this preview has to offer, heralding the beginning of a new chapter in the Android ecosystem.

What is Notification cooldown

If you’ve been exploring the early version of Android 15, you might have noticed a new feature called “Notification cooldown.” Essentially, it’s designed to help users deal with the potential annoyance of receiving multiple notifications from the same app in quick succession.

This feature gradually lowers the volume of subsequent notifications from the same app, preventing you from feeling overwhelmed by a sudden flood of alerts. It’s a small but practical addition that aims to improve the overall notification experience for Android users.

To access the “Notification cooldown” feature, navigate to Settings and select Notifications. Scroll down to the bottom to find the Notification cooldown option. Tapping on this setting reveals three choices:

1. Apply cooldown to all notifications

2. Apply cooldown to conversations

3. Don’t use notification cooldown

This feature can be particularly useful in scenarios where you receive a high volume of emails throughout the day, participate in active group chats, or experience frequent engagement on social media platforms. It offers a tailored approach to managing notifications, allowing users to maintain control over their notification experience based on their preferences and usage patterns.

Improved Camera Features

Android 15 introduces exciting advancements tailored for content creators and developers aiming to elevate mobile experiences to new heights. Among the notable enhancements is the introduction of refined in-app camera controls, offering developers unprecedented granularity in adjusting settings such as brightness, flash intensity, and other imaging features typically restricted to default camera applications. This empowers developers to craft more immersive and innovative user experiences, pushing the boundaries of mobile content creation and enriching the Android ecosystem with enhanced visual capabilities.
