Rumors about Apple hosting a special 2024 Spring event have been doing rounds on the internet for a long time. Although the company has been fairly regular with its fall, near-Christmas, and mid-year WWDC events, it has been slightly erratic with the spring event. The last time Apple held a spring event was in 2022 when the company refreshed the iPad lineup. Before that, we witnessed spring events in 2021, 2019, 2018, 2016, and 2015.

Signs That Apple Could Launch New Products In March

However, since Apple didn’t host a spring event in 2023, the iPads are due the much-awaited upgrades of a larger screen and a better chipset. Further, the MacBook Air lineup hasn’t received the M3 chipset yet. Hence, it makes sense for the company to hold a spring event this year, and as per previous years’ schedule, it could host it in late March. There’s a chance that Apple might not host an event at all, but even in that case, it could announce new products via press releases.

New iPad Air And iPad Pro Models

First, Apple could release the iPad Air in two screen sizes, including a 10.9-inch model and a 12.9-inch model. The devices could also receive a major processor upgrade, the M2 silicon used on the 15-inch MacBook Air.

Apart from the iPad Air, the iPad Pro models could shift from the mini-LED display to OLED screens that offer better brightness and contrast levels. The top-tier tablets from the company could also ship with the latest M3 chipset.

Further, the regular iPad and the iPad mini could also get a spec bump, making them worthwhile purchases in 2024.

New M3 MacBook Air And Mac mini

Given that Apple has launched the M3 chipset with the MacBook Pro lineup, the MacBook Air is the next in line. In spring, Apple could release new MacBook Air models with the M3 chip: both the 13-inch and the 15-inch MacBook Air models should get the newer chip.

Yes, we could also see the M3 MacBook Air in new colors, but that is the extent of updates this particular model will get.

The Mac mini, Apple’s portable desktop, could also be another device that gets the M3 chip in March 2024. In terms of design, the new model should look like the current generation Mac mini in circulation.

Will Apple Launch The iPhone SE 4 At The Spring 2024 Event?

iPhone SE 4 likely to use iPhone 14 design; Might launch in 2025

It is highly unlikely that we’ll get to see the iPhone SE 4 at the anticipated event. Several rumors indicate that Apple won’t release the iPhone SE 4 until 2025. Further, with reports of a recent change in design language, it could take the company another few months to finalize the design and begin production.

However, it is important to mention that the information provided in this article is based on leaks and rumors. The company hasn’t confirmed any of these details, which is why our readers should take it with a pinch of salt.
