Reliance Jio has upgraded its prepaid plans, and they have become a tad more expensive. However, the base data for popular plans has been increased from 1.5GB to 2GB per day, and if you do the math consumers will be getting 1GB Data extra per rupee for the increased price with the upgraded plans.  Jio Says the new data plans are 20 to 30 percent cheaper than existing competition plans.

New Jio Prepaid plans are still less expensive when compared to existing 2GB/ day plans (Rs. 198/ month and Rs. 448 for 3 months).

The three new plans also entail 1000 minutes of free outgoing calls to non-jio users (worth Rs. 80). Jio recently announced that all such calls will be billed at 6p/minute till TRAI abolishes Interconnect Usage Charge (IUC) that Jio has to pay to Airtel, Vodafone or other carries when Jio users make outgoing calls to their network users.

New All-in-One Jio Plans

The 1-month plan now costs Rs. 222. Every extra Rs. 100 spend will extend your plan by one month.
