Netflix launched the cheapest 'Basic with Ads' plan in 12 countries: Five Thing You Should Know About It

Netflix has gone through a lot of changes in the last couple of years in terms of content and features. Where on one side, we saw a price cut in India plans for Netflix; we also saw better content and the addition of anime on the platform. Now, the streaming platform has rolled out the basic plan with ads in 12 countries. The plan will allow the users to pay quite less for streaming their favourite Netflix shows with ads. The price of the basic plan with ads is $6.99 a month in the United States of America.

Nevertheless, if you are trying to make a switch from any regular plans to the basic ad plan, then you should know that it is not going to work for all devices. Let’s say you have up to third-generation Chromecast; then, you will not be able to watch Netflix’s basic ad plan. The ad plan supports Chromecast with Google TV variants. As long as the smartphones are considered, the Netflix basic ad plan will work on Android 7 or above and iOS 15 or above.

Apart from that, the plan will work perfectly with Amazon Fire TV devices. However, it is a piece of bad news for all those who are using Apple TV. All Apple streaming box users will not be able to subscribe to the basic ad plans of Netflix. If you are using the PlayStation 3 to watch Netflix, then you won’t be able to continue your journey in the same direction. The plan will only work for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
