Moto G5S Plus and Moto G5S Launched In India: Specs, features, best price, and other details

After the global unveiling of the Moto G5S Plus and Moto G5S Lenovo-Motorola has launched both of these G-series smartphone in India. The successor of the Moto G5 and G5 Plus offer some improvements in optics and a more premium metal body.  (हिंदी में पढ़ें)

The Moto G5S Plus (like its predecessor) comes with a 5.5-inch full HD IPS screen with gorilla glass 4 while the Moto G5S is a more manageable device between the two thanks to its 5.2-inch full HD display.

These premium Moto G-series phones flaunt an all-metal unibody design as they have been carved out of a single piece aluminum. There is no use of plastic here; all metal and glass. Both phones have curved edges which we have become accustomed to seeing on the Motorola phones.

Under the hood, Motorola ropes in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage for the Moto G5S Plus. The incremental upgrade here is the optics. The G5S Plus poises a dual camera setup at the rear end. Out of the two 13-megapixel sensors, one is an RGB sensor and the other Monochrome sensor, similar to what he sees Huawei/Honor phones. It also gets a selfie camera upgrade from a 5-megapixel sensor to an 8-megapixel.

The Moto G5S innards remain more or less same as the Moto G5. It rocks a Snapdragon 430 chipset. It comes in two variants. The Moto G5S base variant will come with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The Moto G5S camera includes a 16-megapixel rear sensor and a 5-megapixel selfie sensor.

The Moto G5S and Moto G5S Plus have a few things in common. they both shares the same screen resolution of 1920x1080pixels, a home button embedded fingerprint sensor, a water repellent coating, and surprisingly similar 3000mAh battery. Motorola is using same Android Nougat based near stock ROM in both these phones and has promised Android Oreo upgrade in the coming months.

Moto G5S Plus and G5S Indian price, availability details, and launch offers

Both the Moto G5S Plus and Moto G5S will be Amazon exclusive for online space and in offline channel it will be available at Moto Hub retial partners.  The Moto G5S Plus India price is set at Rs. 15,999 while, the Moto G5S Indian retail price is fixed at Rs. 13,999. Both the Moto G5S and Moto G5S Plus  will go on sale at 11:59PM on September 29.
