Moto G5 India Launch Scheduled For April 4

Lenovo a month ago, took the wrap off from Moto G5 and the Moto G5 Plus at Mobile World Congress 2017  in Barcelona. In a months time, the company has already launched the Moto G5 Plus (camera review) in India and now all set to launch the Moto G5 in the country on April 4. Moto has started rolling out the press invites for the G5 launch event which will be held in the national capital.

It is worth noticing that, the Moto G5 is a trimmed down version of the Plus variant. it employs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core chipset whereas the Moto G5 Plus comes fitted with Snapdragon 625 SoC which is clearly more powerful between the two. Apart from that, It ropes an Adreno 505 GPU for graphic work and comes with 2/3GB of RAM. It will be made available in 16GB and 32GB storage options along with a dedicated microSD card slot.

It sports a 5-inch Full HD IPS display with a water-repellent coating. As far as optics are concern, the Moto G5 gets a 13-megapixel a primary camera with PDAF (Phase Detection AutoFocus), dual-LED flash without bulging out. Up front, there is a wide-angle 5MP lens similar to the Moto G5 Plus.

The phone is backed by a 2800mAh battery (removable) that supports quick charging as well. The Moto G5 comes out of the box running on Android Nougat with all the Moto goodies such as Moto Display and Moto gestures.

The G5 is likely to be offered in Lunar Gray and Fine Gold hues in India. unlike the G5 Plus which is was exclusive to Flipkart, the Moto 5 is expected to be Amazon exclusive.
