Microsoft Surface Book 2 with Intel 8th-gen quad-core i5 processor goes official

While the tech community and the whole world was playing pranks on the occasion of April Fool’s Day, the Redmond based tech giant updated the Surface Book line up with a new model bearing Intel’s latest generation quad-core processor. This has a base clock speed of 1.7 GHz, turbo maxed up to 3.6 GHz. Besides this under-the-hood change, nothing much has been changed. Let’s jump into the new Price, Specs, and details.

The new Surace Book 2 sports a 13.5-inch PixelSense Display with up to 3240 x 2160 resolution, 3:2 aspect ratio, and 10 point multi-touch. On the surface, it flaunts a slim and sleek design with all the regular connectivity options.

As mentioned, the processing power is from Intel 8th-gen quad-core i5 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz, turbo maxed up to 3.6 GHz. It packs 8GB LPDDR3 RAM and 256GB SSD storage. The graphics would be helmed by Intel HD Graphics 620 integrated GPU along with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 discrete GPU w/2GB GDDR5 graphics memory.

There is an existing dual-core 7th Gen model available at a price of $1,299. With both the models, you would be getting Windows 10 Pro Creators Update 64-bit with a 30-day trial of MS Office 365, out of the box.
