Close on the heels of a leak, the Redmond giant has come forward, officially confirming the Xbox Series S. The stripped-down console will carry a price tag of $299 (which is around Rs. 22,042).

Microsoft Xbox Series S features (expected)

Xbox Series S looks compact than Series X. Evidently why Microsoft is calling it “smallest Xbox ever.” It stands vertically and has a flat boxy bearing. You should be able to lay it horizontally too. As you can see, it comes in white color with a black cooling grille, a USB-A port, and the power button with the branding, of course. No disc to be seen, which means it is likely digital-only. You can also see the white controller standing right along with the console.

So, you have read that it would be small, but a video shared by WalkingCat shows you how small it is. Series S can apparently fit inside the Xbox Series X chassis.

Design and size aside, it is said to sport 1080p or 1440p gaming, around 4 teraflops of GPU horsepower, 7.5gigs of RAM, all of which should render — “next-gen performance.”

The Xbox Series S is officially announced to be available for $299. But, the leaks claim the console will also come as part of a $25 monthly Xbox All Access plan. This will also comprise of Xbox Live and Game Pass. Meanwhile, the Xbox Series X is alleged to cost $499.

That’s about it everything we know so far (leaks included). Now since these are leaks, we advise you to take them with a pinch of salt. We look forward to getting more details before the purported November launch.
