Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S official renders have been ousted by company CEO on Weibo and put all design related rumors to rest. The Mi Mix 2S will go official next week on March 27, 2018.

Mi Mix 2s: Notch or no Notch?

The primary area of contention has been the notch. Numerous leaks and even a leaked video hinted a corner-cut notch to house the selfie camera. After all, the selfie camera being present at the bottom was viewed as the major peeve point of Mi Mix 2s.

The official render on Weibo, however, have a plane notch-less display. The selfie camera is presumably still present below the display, for that’s the only portion of the fascia where you will find a thin strip of bezel (unless Xiaomi is using a Vivo Apex like a retractable camera).

Mi Mix 2s Features

Xiaomi earlier confirmed that its Mi Mix 2s would employ the latest Snapdragon 845 octa-core chipset. If rumors are to be believed, the SoC will be paired with up to 6GB RAM and up to 256GB storage.

The phone will undoubtedly have a staggering screen-to-body ratio, but it isn’t likely to beat Vivo Apex in this regards (98% screen-to-body ratio).

We still don’t quite know where Xiaomi will place the fingerprint reader, but the device should undoubtedly include Face Unlock as well. The handset is expected to include dual rear cameras and 3400mAh battery.
