LG will launch yet another flagship this year, the LG V40 ThinQ. The V-series phones are usually introduced at IFA every year, but this year LG has reworked its product launch roadmap from the very start. Anyways, LG’s music-centric flagship is still coming and folks at Android Pit have got wind of some interesting features that are on board.

A ‘source close to LG’ has revealed that the LG V40 ThinQ will have 5 cameras – three on the back, two on the front – and will be the first LG flagship to don stereo speakers.

LG V40 ThinQ Features

LG’s signature dual camera implementation involves a wide-angle lens on the extra rear sensor. While the implementation has its own benefits, it has limited LG flagships in the past. This year, LG apparently wishes to go all in and offer a complete experience. The third 12MP (1.0µm pixels) shooter on the rear will have a f/2.4 aperture telephoto lens that will add 2X optical zoom to LG V40 ThinQ camera and also help enhance portrait mode on LG V40 ThinQ camera.

The other two sensors will have 16MP (1.0µm pixels) and 12MP (1.4µm pixels) resolution sensors with f/1.9 aperture and f/1.5 aperture lenses, respectively.

On the front, there are 8MP and 5MP sensors for selfies – both reportedly housed within a wide notch.

LG phones, particularly the V-series ones, have always had class-leading audio and the V40 ThinQ will allegedly have powerful stereo speakers that LG terms as Boombox speakers. Like other current and last year LG flagships, the V40 ThinQ will also have a QDAC.

The V40 ThinQ will be the third LG Phone this year to be powered by Snapdragon 845. Going by the leaks, RAM and storage options will go from 6GB to 128GB, respectively. Other rumored features include 3300mAh battery, 6.4-inch OLED display (QHD+), and an 8mm slim profile.
