LG’s Upcoming Flagship Could Sport An iPhone-X like Notch

0

LG’s forthcoming device could flaunt an iPhone-X like display. If so, this could be another Android device to come with the infamous ‘notch’ above the screen that houses front-camera and other important sensors. Asus has already adopted it on their Zenfone 5, and Huawei P20-series is likely to embrace the notch as well.

Coming back to LG, its notch phone (the remodeled G7, allegedly codenamed Judy) renders were leaked by TechnoBuffalo which gives us a possible hint of how the phone will look like upon release. These are the concept images and did not come from any official source so the device may differ once it is officially out.

The leaked renders look quite similar to the phone that was spotted in the leaked hands-on video of LG’s closed-door meeting at MWC 2018.

It has the phone’s fascia dominated by all-display with a notch on top and slight bezel at the bottom. The notch will accommodate the front camera as well as the sensors and the rumored IRIS scanning technology that the LG is working on.

The back of the phone seems to have a clean look with a glass on top, just like the LG V30. There is room for only dual-camera setup, which is vertically aligned, and a center-aligned fingerprint sensor that is also supposed to act as a power button.

LG Judy Specification (Expected)

As for the specification, the upcoming LG phone is said to have a 6-inch QHD+ display on top with 19:9 screen aspect ratio. Under the shaft, the phone will be powered by Snapdragon 845 chipset paired with 6-gigs of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

Out of the box, the phone comes running on Android Oreo with LG’s custom UI on top. LG will be optimizing its software to offer more screen real estate to the users. The camera specification and battery capacity are not known as of now.

Now, since all the information are based on the leak, it should be taken with a pinch of salt. They are subjected to change when we LG will announce the device officially, which is speculated to happen in the month of June.
