Lenovo Mirage Solo Standalone Google Daydream VR Announced: Specification and Features

Lenovo has launched, Mirage Solo, the first ever standalone Daydream Virtual Reality (VR) headset. It is an all-in-one VR headset that has all the hardware components of a VR built within. That means you won’t have to plug-in your phone in a headset to enter the VR world.

As you may recall, Daydream headset is actually a Google project. Last year, the search-engine giant announced that will be making an independent VR headsets in partnership with HTC and Lenovo.

Lenovo Mirage Solo Features

Lenovo Mirage Solo has an integrated 5.5-inch QHD (2560×1440) display with a 110-degree field of view. The headset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

Lenovo has also included a microSD card slot Mirage Solo for its VR camera and to quickly check out what you’ve shot. Despite all the features, the Mirage Solo doesn’t come with an inbuilt speaker and instead it relies on headphones plugged via the 3.5mm audio jack.

The Lenovo Mirage Solo features the WorldSense Technology and is powered by a 4,000mAh battery.

The build quality of the VR headset is extremely solid. It comes clad in high-quality plastic, can be worn like a cap and weighs only 1.42 pounds. The headset can be tightened according to the circumference of your head, and the distance between the eyes and the screen can also be adjusted.

Lenovo Mirage Solo Price and Availability

The Lenovo Mirage Solo standalone Daydream VR headset has been priced at $400 dollars (roughly to Rs. 25,000). As of now, its availability is limited to the US where it is expected to retail from the second quarter of this year.
