Reliance has confirmed not just the November 4 launch date of its much-awaited JioPhone Next, but also the price details now. The smartphone has been made in partnership with Google, as in, it runs on a custom Android variant called Pragati OS. Also, a few days ahead of its Diwali launch, a Twitter user has leaked the images of the phone’s retail packaging, which reveals key specs and features.

JioPhone Next Retail Packaging
The images shared by the Twitter user show the color of the box of JioPhone Next to be white. At the front of the box is an image of the smartphone itself and below it is written: “Created with Google”. And as for the rear side, there are the device highlights.
JioPhone Next Specs
The smartphone sports a 5.45-inch display with an HD+ resolution of 720×1440 pixels. It comes with 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage capacity that is expandable up to 512GB via a MicroSD card. The images have already revealed that the phone has thick bezels above and below the display.
JioPhone Next is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 chipset and runs on Android-based Pragati OS, which is custom made for India. Pragati OS comes with many exclusive features like reading Aloud, Translate, Smart Camera, etc. The dual-SIM smartphone has a 3.5mm headphone jack and has pre-installed Jio and Google apps like Jio TV, Jio Cinema, Google Play Store, YouTube, etc.
The smartphone has a 13MP primary camera and an 8MP selfie camera with in-built AI filters. It packs a 3500mAh battery under the hood. JioPhone Next will have 10 Indian language options to ease the user experience.
JioPhone Next would also provide access to 600+ TV channels (Jio TV), 5 crore+ songs (Jio Saavn), 10,000+ movies (Jio Cinema), games (Jio Games), in-built Google Assistant, 1 Million+ apps downloadable through Google Play, and easy My Jio account access.

JioPhone Next Price and Availability
Reliance has revealed that JioPhone Next would be available for a starting price of Rs. 6499. However, if you opt for EMI, it could be available with a downpayment of Rs. 1999 and an additional Rs. 501 as processing fees and the rest of the payments spread out over monthly installments. The smartphone is scheduled to launch on Diwali day i.e., November 4 in India.
