TL; DR
  • The iQOO 15 Ultra will be available in the company’s market before the Spring Festival in February 2026.
  • Under the hood, the smartphone is said to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, which should offer top-tier gaming performance (with hardware-accelerated ray tracing and iQOO’s co-processor that enhances gaming performance).
  • The 165Hz display should improve response time in video games and general use.

iQOO is gearing up to add another smartphone to its flagship number series. In addition to the vanilla iQOO 15, the company now has an ‘Ultra’ tier smartphone up for pre-orders in China. It’s called “iQOO 15 Ultra,” and it will be available in the company’s home market next month.

iQOO 15 Ultra Launch Timeline

The iQOO 15 Ultra will be available in the company’s market before the Spring Festival in February 2026. There’s no launch date per se, but the handset should go official in early February. This is the first time in two years that the company has dropped another phone in its number series, and that too under an ‘Ultra’ moniker.

According to leaks and the brand’s confirmation, the phone isn’t like other ‘Ultra’ handsets on the market, which are primarily camera-centric. Instead, it is made for professional gamers and streamers. For instance, the smartphone features an active cooling fan toward the bottom of the handset (for offering sustained performance).

iQOO 15 Ultra: Expected Specifications

Under the hood, the smartphone is said to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, which should offer top-tier gaming performance (with hardware-accelerated ray tracing and iQOO’s co-processor that enhances gaming performance). The phone could also feature several gaming-centric features, such as software-based overclocking, granular performance control, and shoulder buttons.

Powering the smartphone should be a 7,000 mAh battery that might offer as much as six to eight hours of high-graphics gaming. While the phone has been spotted in the Chinese database with 100W wired charging support, tipster Digital Chat Station believes the company could increase the charging speed to 200W (via software updates) after launch.

What’s interesting is that iQOO provided 200W fast wired charging with the iQOO 11 Pro in 2022. Still, the phone features a tiny 4,700 mAh battery (which shows how battery sizes on mainstream flagships have increased dramatically in the last two to three years).

The 165Hz display should improve response time in video games and general use. Finally, the phone would also come with a dedicated 50MP periscope telephoto camera at the back, which might provide up to 3x or 3.5x optical zoom. Clearly, the iQOO 15 Ultra is more focused on performance than cameras.

Confirming the phone’s existence, the company’s product manager says that the “phone is exclusively for them [professional streamers and gamers], understanding their anxiety and tension of 0.1-second latency.” Moreover, the phone should offer lightning-fast response times, higher and more consistent frame rates, and sustained performance.

For now, there’s no word for the smartphone’s Indian launch. Also, we’re expecting the iQOO 15 Ultra to command a premium price, primarily due to its specifications and the ongoing memory crisis.
