iQOO 8 series specs teased ahead of imminent India launch

iQOO 8 series is going to launch in China on August 17. Ahead of the launch, the smartphone was recently spotted on the IMEI database. Now it seems that the iQOO 8 series may knock on India’s doors a few days after its debut in China.

iQOO has previously launched the iQOO 7 (review) series back in April this year in India. Now, the iQOO 8 lineup will be a successor. Let us know about the information of iQOO 8 that has appeared ahead of the launch.

iQOO 8 Series Specs (Expected)

A recent IMEI listing revealed that the model number of iQOO 8 is I2019 and it will support a 4G LTE connection. There will be an iQOO 8 Pro variant that will come with a 2K AMOLED LTPO display and allow a 120Hz refresh rate. Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus processor has also been confirmed in iQOO 8 Pro and the standard iQOO 8 will get an octa-core Snapdragon 870 chipset.

The iQOO 8 series will arrive in up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM with up to 4GB virtual memory. The company will also bring a BMW Edition of iQOO 8 with BMW stripes similar to iQOO 7 Legend.

The iQOO 8 Pro will sport a triple rear camera setup and is said to feature VIS five-axis anti-shell micro-cloud gimbal stabilization. The current rumors suggest the iQOO 8 series to have a 50MP main camera, a 48MP ultrawide angle sensor, and a 16MP portrait lens.

The iQOO 8 is expected to house a 4500mAh battery while the company has already announced to equip it with 120W fast charge support and 50W wireless charge support. A recent leak from Digital Chat Station on Weibo hints the phone to get the fingerprint sensor in a unique style.

iQOO 8 Series Price & Availability

The base model of the iQOO 8 is speculated to be priced at 5,299 Yuan (around Rs 60,700) in China. While we expect the company to opt for a lower price while entering the Indian market. Rest, we will be back with more details later. Till then, stay tuned.
