Back in December 2023, the Chinese consumer tech brand iQoo released its flagship smartphone, the iQoo 12 (review), in India. Since it has already been a good seven months since the launch, rumors about the iQoo 12’s successor, i.e., iQoo 13, are already emerging on the internet. This year, we expect the iQoo 13 to come out at the same time, in December, but with several meaningful upgrades that would make the users’ experience even better.

iQoo 13 To Feature A Flat 2K Screen

According to the Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, the display manufacturer BOE will make the flat OLED screen used on the iQoo 13. The screen will provide users with a 2K resolution. Further, the tipster adds that the screen design has been changed across the iQoo 13 series. However, there are no details about the screen size or whether it has changed from 6.78 inches on the iQoo 12.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 Could Power The Flagship Smartphone

Under the hood, the iQoo 13 will run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, which, for those catching up, hasn’t gone official yet. Qualcomm, however, has confirmed holding the Snapdragon Summit launch event in October, wherein it is expected to unveil the new flagship processor. Powering the phone could be a 6,000 mAh battery, which, in our opinion, should support some sort of wired fast charging.

Regarding optics, the iQoo 13 could ship with a triple 50MP camera, including a 3x periscope zoom lens. Rumors also suggest that the smart phone could feature an IP69 dust and water-resistant rating and a metallic frame to add sturdiness and durability. However, the company has yet to confirm the details of the smartphone and other related details.
