iQoo 12 To Arrive In India This December, Company Reveals Launch Date

After months of leaks and rumors, the iQoo 12 is official, and it will arrive in India in December. Although the smartphone comes in China next week, the Indian customers would have to wait another month and a few days. So far, we’ve seen several specification leaks and high-quality images. Now that the phone is official, every detail seems to fall into place.

iQoo 12 India Launch Date

The CEO of Iqoo India, Nipun Maurya, On November 1, 2023, announced the launch date of the iQoo 12 series. The company will unveil its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered flagship on December 12, 2023. Maurya revealed the date via a post on the microblogging platform X (formerly known as Twitter). Captioning the image, he wrote, “Ending 2023 with a BANG!”

In China, the smartphone debuts on November 7, 2023, more than a month before it arrives in India. However, this has been a trend with manufacturers like Vivo, Honor, Realme, and iQoo. OnePlus, on the other hand, tries to prioritize the global launch along with the launch in the company’s native market. Nonetheless, iQoo 12 is a promising smartphone, especially for users who prefer the Android ecosystem and are into gaming.

iQoo 12 Leaked Specifications

The vanilla iQoo 12 is said to come with a BOE OLED display with 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and it could support up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness. It also supports 2160Hz PWM dimming. On the other hand, the iQoo 12 Pro should arrive with a Samsung E7 screen with 2K resolution, support for 144Hz refresh rate, and 2,700 nits of peak brightness. It also offers 1440Hz PWM dimming.

While the iQoo 12 could ship with an IP64 rating, the iQoo 12 Pro could feature an IP68 rating. Apart from this, both phones are touted to come with a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultrawide sensor, and a 64MP telephoto sensor with up to three times optical zoom. Further, the regular version could feature a 5,100 mAh battery with support for 120W wired charging, whereas the Pro version should feature a 5,000 mAh battery with similar charging speeds.
