Instagram keeps rolling out new features now and then to make the experience more attractive. Recently, the social media application started providing the ability to add song lyrics to reels, which is another way of making things interactive. The announcement was made by Adam Mosseri via the IG Updates Instagram Channel.

“You can now add song lyrics to your Instagram Reels, just like you do on Stories,” Zuckerberg said in the announcement.

What is the new feature?

While creating and editing a Reel, you will get the option to add lyrics to a song you have chosen. You can select the music icon and add the song of your choice. All you have to do is swipe left for the lyrics to appear. This will help you make Reels more user-friendly.

Those who watch your stories will get to know the lyrics to a trending song, which makes the experience all the more enjoyable. So for all those who have been going through the complication of manually adding song lyrics to their Reels, this feature will make the task easier. You can choose which font you like for the lyrics and add a more specific message element to your clip.

Earlier Instagram allowed adding text on Reels, which made things convenient while watching reels on mute. This new feature is already available on Instagram stories, so now you can add lyrics to the story along with music. Various music player styles can also be chosen if lyrics are not needed.

Since the feature has already started rolling out, it will soon be available on all Android and iOS devices. More new features will be added to Reels soon.
