Huawei is set to unveil the Mate 40 series on October 22. And a few days before that, the renders, retail box, and key specs of the top-end models have leaked online. The Mate forties will premiere the Kirin 9000 processor, along with a high-speed charger tech and potent internal specs.

Here, have a look at everything we know about the company’s crown jewel for the year —

Huawei Mate 40 Pro Specs (rumored)

Upfront, the Mate 40 Pro will be sporting a 6.76-inch OLED curved panel with 2772 x 1344 pixel resolution. There will be a pill-shaped cutout aligned to the left for the selfie snappers. The duo includes a 13MP sensor along with a 3D ToF sensor.

As for the back, the phone has got a 50MP wide sensor with OIS, a 20MP ultrawide snapper, and a 12MP telephoto module arranged within a round camera case.

Inside, the phone is powered by Android 10-based EMUI 11 with Huawei Mobile Services (HMS). This is laid on top of a 5nm-based Kirin 9000 octa-core chip packing 3x A77 clocked at 2.54GHz, 1x A77 core at 3.13GHz, and 4xA55 efficiency cores at 2.04GHz). The graphics are pushed by Mali G78 GPU. The Kirin 9000 SoC will be 5G ready too.

The phone will be out in a solo 8+ 256GB of the model with no expandable option.

Inside, the phone also lugs a 4,400 mAh battery backed by a 65W SuperCharge adapter. It will come with wireless charging support as well. The device will reportedly feature the latest connectivity solutions like Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6.

The specs revealed thus far are encouraging for a flagship-grade performance. But, all said and done, there is the obvious elephant in the room, ie, the trade ban. The Mate 40 series is said to be the Chinese giant’s last flagship announcement for a while. Let’s see what the future holds for Huawei. We expect to get some insights on the same at the big event on October 22.
