Even as we wait for HTC’s latest flagship, the HTC U11, to be officially unveiled (May 16th), an image has emerged of what appears to be a part of the purported phone’s retail box, containing pretty much every detail of HTC’s newest offering.

Seeing the phone getting unveiled in May is not characteristic to how HTC prefers to ploy its trade, as the company normally launches its flagships for the year in the first quarter itself.

This delay is can attributed to Samsung’s hoarding of the Snapdragon 835 chipset, that it intended to be used for the first time in its S8 and S8+ handsets. Apart from the SoC, the image has set the ball rolling as to what HTC’s going to bring out come May.

Going by the information as provided in the image, the U11 is set to feature a 5.5-inch QHD diplay secured by a sheet of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on its top. To support the very latest of processors that the phone would be using, HTC has provided for a 6GB RAM, with inbuilt ROM support of 128GB.

It is also a high possibility that there may be another variant (4GB + 64GB) on the cards, considering the fact that a very recent GeekBench listing featured the same.

Anyway, other than these specs, Android 7.0 OS (with the company’s Sense UI) has been allotted to the phone, which will also boast of the Edge Sense technology (that allows the users to perform specific actions by squeezing the phone).

The image also elucidates the fact that the device will come jacked up on the optics front, featuring a 12MP UltraPixel 3 rear camera (which many claim could be the Sony IMX362 sensor) having an f/1.7 aperture, OIS, dual-tone LED flash and 4K recording capabilities.

Flipping to the other side, there would be a 16MP camera for selfies, video calling and other purposes, coming in with features including f/2.0 aperture and 1080p video recording capabilities.

Rounding off the set of expected specifications of the HTC U11 is a front-embedded fingerprint sensor, IP67 water and dust resistance, 3,000mAh battery, HTC BoomSond, HTC Usonic and 3D audio recording.
