HP Omen 15, HP Pavilion Gaming 16 Launched In India: Details and Pice

HP India has expanded its gaming laptop portfolio by launching Omen 15 and HP Pavilion Gaming 16 in the country. Back in June, HP globally announced both these laptops and now finally they have made it to India.

The HP Omen 15 2020 gets a major overhaul in terms of design and innards. It gets a redesigned chassis and a new Omen logo. The other major announcement HP made today is Pavilion Gaming 16 which is first 16 gaming laptop by the company. The HP Omen 15 2020 and HP Pavillion Gaming 16 and both are being offered with an option to choose between Intel and AMD CPU options.

HP Omen 15, HP Pavilion Gaming 16 India price & availability details

The HP Omen 15 2020 edition India price starts from Rs 79,999 and Rs 75,999 for the Intel and AMD models respectively. They will retail in Mica Silver and Shadow Black colors. The HP Omen 15 Intel edition is on sale at HP’s official site while its AMD edition will be going on sale starting today on Flipkart and Amazon.

The HP Pavilion Gaming 16 too comes in Intel and AMD version and they retail at Rs 70,999 and Rs 59,999 respectively. This 16-inch gaming laptop is also said to be available from July but has not been listed on the HP India website yet.

HP Omen 15 specifications

The HP Omen 15 2020 houses a 15.6-inch display with a new 180-degree flat hinge design. HP is offering Omen 15 with either to 4K UHD AMOLED display or a full-HD display that has 300Hz refresh rate and supports Nvidia G-Sync technology.

The Omen 15 gaming laptop is offered with up to 10th-generation Intel Core i7 H-series Processor or up to AMD Ryzen 7 H-series processor. Users can buy the Omen 15 with up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM and up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super with Max-Q Design GPU.

That’s not all, HP is shipping the gaming laptop with up to 1TB of PCIe SSD storage including support for RAID 0. The laptop comes with a new IR thermopile sensor to address biggest pain-point of its previous version. A part from the new sensor, HP has used Omen Tempest Cooling Technology and three-sided for improved thermal efficiency.

The HP Omen 15 gaming machine includes a full RGB keyboard with per-key lighting. It is claimed to up to 12.5 hours of battery life on a single charge.

HP Pavilion Gaming 16 specifications, features

HP Pavillion series also gets a gaming machine and for the first time with a 16-inch screen. HP claims that it has used micro-edge bezels to squeeze in 16-inch screen in a 15-inch laptop chassis.

The Pavilion 16 also offered with Intel as well as AMD CPUs. The Intel-based Pavilion 16 can be picked with up to 10th generation Intel Core i7 processor and up to Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660Ti GPU. It flaunts a full-HD IPS display and also includes Omen command centre for gamers. There is also support for Wi-Fi 6 connectivity.
