Honor 8 Lite With 5.2-inch Display and Android Nougat Goes Official

Days after the press render of the Honor 8 Lite appeared online, Huawei has made it official in Finland. The phone is currently available for pre-orders and will go on sale starting February 17. Interestingly, this development took place just days before MWC 2017 event. It comes in blue, black, gold, and white colors with a price tag of 269 Euros which converts to approximately Rs 19,500.

As the name implies, It is trimmed down version of the popular Honor 8 which rocked in 2016. The Honor 8 Lite flaunt a design inspired from its elder sibling along with the addition of 2.5D glass layered on the front.  However, the ‘Lite’ phone lacks the dual cameras which were the highlight of the Honor 8.

Honor 8 Lite sports a 5.2-inch Full HD display 2.5D glass to keep scratches at bay. It is powered by Kirin 655 chipset made with a 16nm process where first half clocked at 2.1GHz while the other half is clocked at 1.7GHz. For gaming and multitasking, there is Mali T830-MP2 GPU and 3 GB RAM. Internal storage of the phone is 16GB with microSD card slot to expand storage up to 128GB. However, one will have to choose between secondary SIM and micorSD.

Honor 8 Lite comes bears a 12-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 8 megapixels front camera. The phone offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS connectivity options. This phone has 3000 mAh battery. Dimensionally, the Honor 8 Lite stands at 147.2 x 72.94 x 7.6mm and weighs about 147g. In other words, the Honor 8 Lite is quite similar to the Honor 8 Smart that Huawei earlier introduced in India.
