Here’s The List Of Samsung Phones Getting Android 9 Pie Based One UI Update

Android Pie was officially released on August 6, 2018, and recently One UI, the revamped custom skin of Samsung on Android P was officially introduced. The new UI brings in a design facelift and improves the software experience for Samsung phones running Android 9.0.

Samsung has now revealed the list of phones that will be getting the new Android Pie update.

Stable Android Pie with One UI is now rolling out to Samsung Galaxy S9/S9 Plus. Users in the U.A.E and Germany are already getting the update. By January, Samsung would be rolling it out for the rest of its customer base.

Next in line would be the Note 9 which would be getting the update by February 2019. Then the Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ and Galaxy Note 8 would be getting the update in March. The Galaxy A8 (2018), the Galaxy A8+ (2018), the Galaxy A7 (2018), the Galaxy A9 (2018) and Galaxy Tab S4 10.5 are up next in April 2019.

So, you have noticed the trend as every month a few phones would be getting Over The Air update. So, on May 19, Galaxy J4, Galaxy J4+, Galaxy J6, Galaxy J6+, Galaxy A8 Star would be updated to Android Pie. A month later, i.e. July 2019, Galaxy J7 (2017) would be getting the update. If you’re a Galaxy J7 Duo owner, then you will get the update in August 2019. In September 2019, few phones like the Galaxy Xcover 4, Galaxy J3 (2017) and Galaxy Tab S3 9.7 are lined up for the update. And finally, in Oct 2019, Galaxy Tab A (2017), the Galaxy Tab Active2 and Galaxy Tab A 10.5 would get their Android 9.0 update.

Samsung first launched this new UI at its fifth annual Developer Conference held in San Francisco. One UI has a nifty one-handed user interface and dark mode supported by its native apps. This new successor to the little-known Experience UI and the ill-famed TouchWiz UI is a complete visual overhaul with some under-the-hood optimizations for better performance.
