Summer is here in India, and with the heat on the rise, having appliances like air conditioners, ceiling fans, and air coolers is essential for any home or office. Recently, I was on the hunt for a compact air cooler that wouldn’t take up much space but could still keep my small study room cool, where I spend most of my day.
Even though I could have gone for an AC, I decided to get a tower air cooler instead to save some cash and avoid the installation hassle. I checked out the Reliance Digital Store in Faridabad and found the Havells Zurii Tower Air Cooler, which has a 55L capacity. It’s perfect for medium-sized rooms and serves as an energy-efficient option compared to regular ACs.

Hands-On: Havells Zurii Tower Air Cooler 55L Review – Performance & Real-World Usage
Cooling Performance
The air cooler boasts an impressive air delivery speed of 1250m3/hour, which means it can fill the room with a lot of air in no time. I requested a demo from the sales rep, and he was more than happy to oblige. You can turn the cooler on using the panel on the unit or with the remote, and as soon as it powers up, you can feel a refreshing blast of cool air.
During the demo, it was set to medium speed, and I noticed its effectiveness in just 10 minutes. The air felt evenly spread out and fresh, especially with the ION mode activated. Overall, I was really pleased with how it performed during my initial experience.
Energy Efficiency
While the cooler doesn’t have any official energy-saving ratings, it’s built to be energy-efficient, which can help lower your electricity bills. It uses 180W of power, so it won’t significantly impact your monthly electricity expenses.
Noise Level
When I turned it on, I thought the air cooler was pretty quiet. But when I paid closer attention, I noticed the motor was actually pretty loud. In a busy setting, you might not notice it much, but in the quiet of your home, you’ll definitely hear it. However, it’s important to note that the cooler isn’t uncomfortably loud.
Durability & Build Quality
This air cooler features a sleek tower design and weighs just 17.5 kg, making it both compact and lightweight. With dimensions of 39.4 cm deep, 39.7 cm wide, and 138.5 cm high, it’s entirely made of plastic. It comes in a stylish black-grey color that stays looking clean and has a smart design that adjusts the fan speed after a few hours, ensuring you get just the right amount of cooling as you sleep.
