Haier is now taking a bold stance in the inexpensive TV market in India. The company has introduced its new range of M70 Mini LED TVs, with the 43-inch model starting at an aggressive price of ₹39,190. This price is much lower than that of the major competitors such as TCL and Hisense. However, although the specifications list some high-end features including Dolby Vision and a built-in subwoofer, the absence of information about the hardware and the fact that there is a significant drawback for gamers indicate that customers should carefully read the detailed information before making a purchase.
Haier M70 Price in India
The M70 is available in five sizes, the largest of which is 85 inches. While Haier states that its TVs can be found in major retail stores, the company has not confirmed whether they are sold online on Amazon or Flipkart. All the models come with a three-year warranty.

The M70 with a 43-inch screen costs just under ₹40,000, which means it is cheaper than the entry-level Mini LED TVs made by TCL and Hisense, which generally begin at around ₹45,000. Should Haier meet the expected standards in terms of panel quality, this model could have an impact on the value segment.
M70 Comes with AI image processing
The M70 features Mini LED backlighting and a Micro Dimming system which is used for adjusting brightness and contrast; however Haier has not disclosed the most important specification for a Mini LED TV – the number of local dimming zones. The more dimming zones, the better the black levels and the less blooming around bright objects.
The television covers 93% of the DCI-P3 colour space and is compatible with Dolby Vision and HDR10+. An AI image-processing engine is used for noise reduction and colour enhancement. The only way to find out is whether this processing automatically oversaturates the colours or reduces the film grain too much. That is a typical issue with cheaper TVs.
Dual Line Gate 120Hz
When looking for a cheap display to go with your PS5 or Xbox Series X, you should carefully check the specifications since Haier says the display has a 120Hz refresh rate even though it achieves this using Dual Line Gate (DLG) technology.
DLG is not a genuine 120Hz panel because it reduces the vertical resolution by half to simulate a higher frame rate. It will not provide true 4K at 120Hz for gaming. The image will appear softer when in high frame rate mode.
Audio and Smart Features
What sets the M70 apart is its sound quality. It comes with a 50W 2.1-channel speaker system including a separate subwoofer, which should provide you with better bass than is typical of most budget TVs. It also supports Dolby Atmos and can function as a Bluetooth speaker when the screen is off.
The television is equipped with Google TV and includes hands-free voice control as well as Gemini AI features; however, it has only 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. This amount of memory and storage is sufficient for basic streaming but is low by modern standards for a smart TV, so running heavier applications or engaging in multitasking could result in slowing down over time.
Because of its low price and the three-year warranty the M70 offers, it provides an attractive option for people who want to try Mini LED technology. However, due to its concealed dimming zone specifications and its compromised 120Hz mode, it is still just a budget TV that has been given a premium appearance.
