Helmed by Karan Johar, Dharma Productions has announced their next movie, headed straight for a Direct to OTT release. ‘Govinda Naam Mera’ starring Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani, and Bhumi Pednekar in lead roles will skip the cinemas and release directly on Disney+Hotstar. The movie’s trailer was released yesterday during a live event for the media. The film is touted to be a masala murder mystery that promises loads of entertainment.

The movie was earlier expected to release in theatres on 10 June 2022, but now it will be streaming on Disney+Hotstar from 16th December 2022.

The movie stars Vicky Kaushal as a choreographer Govinda Waghmare along with Bhumi Pednekar as his wife and Kiara Advani as his girlfriend. The movie has written and directed by Shashank Khaitan who is known for movies like Dhadak and Dulhaniya series starring Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt. It is being produced by Dharma Productions and Viacom18 studios.
Govinda Naam Mera: Plot
The movie revolves around a charming man named Govinda who juggles his time between his wife and girlfriend. Things turn complicated when there’s a murder and the police are hell-bent on catching the culprit. Who has been killed? Who did the murder? What was the motive? All these questions form the crux of the story.
