There is no doubt that Google’s Flagship Pixel phones belong to the premium league in terms of raw specs and the price tag attached to them. And if Google wants to rule the smartphone market in emerging countries like India, it has to introduce devices in the lower price bracket. Kapow! much to our thrill and anticipation, Leaks of Google’s new mid-range Pixel lineup arrives. And for you, we have the latest rumored specs and details about these devices.

Rumored Names and Specs

The teardown of Google’s ARCore app by the folks at Android Police reveals the names of two Pixel devices, i.e., Bonito and Sargo. These are likely the names of the Pixel 3 XL Lite and Pixel 3 Lite devices respectively.

The base variant could have a 5.56-inch IPS display at 2220×1080 pixels and running on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 chipset. As per leaks, these devices won’t be having a notched display. Other leaked specifications of this device are 4GB RAM, 32GB of onboard storage, 12MP rear camera, a 2,915mAh battery, and an 8MP single front-facing camera.

Meanwhile, the XL variant could sport a 6-inch display and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SOC. For the moment, there is no news on other spec details. Both the phones would be running on Android 9 Pie out of the box. They would be having USB Type-C, Nano-SIM card and unfortunately no card slot for expandable storage. But, fret not as Google’s Cloud storage option is a boon for its users.

Expected Price and Announcement Date

We could expect their official announcement in April or May of 2019. Since Google would be targeting to compete with existing players like Oneplus and Xiaomi’s Pocophone, we could expect the pricing strategy somewhere along the same lines. However, since the flagship lineup was priced around Rs. 80,000. These phones’ prices could float in the Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000 range. Recent leaks indicate the US launch via Verizon Wireless.
