Once again based on reliable sources, Android Police has reported that Google is likely to unveil two new Pixels smartphones along with 4K Chromecast and Daydream VR at an event on October 4. The publication claims Google may also showcase its Google Home, a smart speaker-like personal assistant which the company is looking to pitch against Amazon’s Echo.

In its report, the publication hasn’t mentioned the venue or timing of the event, but it does reveal some bits and pieces. Google is likely to name the next generation streaming device either Chromecast Ultra or Chromecast Plus. The new Chromecast may have the ability to cast and stream 4K content. Google may also add ‘View’ in the name of Daydream VR platform. With an aim to create more VR content, Google has been sponsoring some Youtubers to curate VR content.

According to the rumors, Google Pixel will be 5-inch display device while the Pixel XL will feature a 5.5-inch display. Both phones are likely to be powered by quad-core Qualcomm chipset coupled with 4GB Rams and 12-megapixel cameras. The only major difference being a larger screen and battery on Pixel XL. Obviously, both the phone will come out running on Andriod 7.0 Nougat.
