It seems that the wide screen displays are the next big thing in the mid-range smartphones and many smartphone manufacturers are looking to add the same on their smartphones. After LG and Micromax bezel-less affordable phones, Gionee is also working on an unnamed device that may carry the same feature.

The information on Gionee’s new handset was seen listed on GFXBench database, which revealed all the specifications of the device. The company hasn’t assigned any name to their new finding, but the device has been given a model number, SW17W08.

According to the GFXBench database, the Gionee’s upcoming device will sport a 6-inch full HD display with a 1,440 by 720-pixel resolution. The phone will feature an 18:9 screen aspect ratio, which means that the screen will be longer than it is broad and there are good chances that it will be surrounded by minimal bezels and sport what’s popularly known as a “full vision” display.

Under the hood, the phone will be powered by Media Tek’s Helio P25 chipset, an octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU, and a Mali-T880 GPU. The processor will be supported by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage.
