Gionee unveiled a new smartphone, tagged as Gionee X1, in India. Priced at Rs. 8,999, the phone employs a fingerprint scanner at the rear of the phone that doubles as the shutter button for clicking selfies.

Addressing the launch, Alok Shrivastava, Director – Business Intelligence and Planning, Gionee India said, “Gionee has always been committed to amaze its customers with premium quality products at attractive prices. Gionee A1 Specifications and Features
The budget smartphone, Gionee X1, is powered by an MT6737 quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz, paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expandable to up to 256GB via dedicated microSD card slot.
Other than that the Gionee X1 features a 5-inch HD display with Android Nougat-based Amigo 4.0 UI software running on it. The phone houses a 3000mAh battery. As for connectivity option, the X1 includes a 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support.
Not shedding its selfie-centric smartphone image, the Gionee X1 employs an 8MP HD front-camera with a 1/4 – inch sensor size, supported by an LED flash, which means that the phone can capture stunning selfies even in low-light. For the rear camera, the company has opted for the same 8MP sensor.

The company has launched Gionee X1 in Black and Gold color variants and it’s available across all major retail stores. To celebrate the launch, Gionee has partnered with Airtel and PayTm to announce two exciting offers which can be availed with every purchase of Gionee X1 handset. The offer includes:
