Chinese smartphone manufacturer Gionee has quietly launched its new, phablet-sized outing called the A1 Plus in India. The phone is the successor to the company’s A1 handset which was released a couple of months earlier and is the first in India from Gionee’s factory to sport a dual camera unit on the back.

Coming to the specifications, the A1 Plus comes running on the latest Android Nougat OS, and is powered by a 2.6GHz octa-core Helio P25 octa-core processor, that has been mated to 4GB RAM.
The inbuilt ROM is 64GB, which is expandable to a maximum limit of 256GB via external sources. Furthermore, the device boasts of a 6-inch display with a full HD resolution and has a 2.5D curved glass lain on the top. On the top, the phone also has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for security purposes.
The A1 Plus is being billed as a big battery camera-centric smartphones, and naturally, comes with the specifications to back those claims.
In the optics department, it has a dual camera unit at the back, consisting of a 13MP + 5MP combination, having features including a 1/3″ sensor size, 1.12 µm pixel size, geo-tagging, face detection and HDR.

Flipping the phone to the other side, you will find a 20MP selfie snapper with f/2.0 aperture and 1/2.8″ sensor size.
Speaking of the battery, Gionee has put into the A1 Plus a mammoth 4,550mAh power unit with Ultra Fast charging capabilities to keep it alive.
